Tanlines is the Brooklyn based experimental electronic pop music duo of Eric Emm and Jesse Cohen.
I’ve really enjoyed listening to their debut album Mixed Emotions via NPR all day. It’s foot tapping dance pop, inspired by 80’s pop with its synth lines and tropical beats, that manages to be danceable but not in the bass heavy, clubby sense.
Mixed Emotions, which is out on 20th March, is a pretty cohesive effort with little filler and a whole host of standout tracks.
