Parquet Courts is a New York based post punk/indie rock quartet with Andrew Savage (ex Teenage Cool Kinds and Wiccans) on vocals and guitars, his brother Max Savage on Drums, Austin Brown on guitar and Sean Yeaton on bass.
If you are anywhere near a fan of classic punk/ post punk then you must check out the bands full length debut Light Up Gold. The album is a mix of short, punchy, immediate songs like Light Up Gold II, Disney P.T. and Borrowed Time as well as more layered pieces like my favourite Stoned & Starving (by far the longest song on the album) and album opener Master Of My Craft. It’s another one of those albums that gets better and more rewarding on repeated listens.
