NO are a LA based indie rock quintet fronted by kiwi Bradley Hanan Carter. The band released their debut EP Don’t Worry, You’ll Be Here Forever in November 2011 and have been gathering acclaim and generating significant buzz on the LA music circuit since then.
If the first thing that came to mind on hearing yesterday’s band was Phoenix, then the band that comes to mind when you hear NO, starting with the album opener Another Llife, is The National. That’s not only because Bradley Carter sounds a lot like Matt Berninger but the themes and mood of their songs are similar to those of The National.
A couple of listens to NO’ debut no filler EP was enough to convince me of this bands potential. Don’t Worry, You’ll Be Here is well crafted, well produced and is quite a pleasing listen; a very commendable debut indeed!
