This one’s special.
Indiana is a gifted singer from Nottingham, UK who comes across as a mix of emerging young singers like Delilah & Ellie Goulding with the maturity (vocally speaking) of a Sarah McLachlan.
Even though she only has a couple of songs out as of now (with an album worth of material ready in the wings) Indiana’s talent is apparent given the ease with which her voice conveys pathos and drips emotion. The music production is confined to restrained, minimal beats, all devised to highlight her effortless and well beautiful voice.
Listen to Blind As I Am, Erase as well as a brilliant cover of Frank Ocean’s Swim Good (view the original here) by Indiana below and let me know what you think.
It’s all kinda dark and intense right? I’d like to see her try something more upbeat as well. Here’s hoping there’s brighter stuff in store for us (and Indiana) :).
